11th Annual Storytelling Festival
Join local professional and amateur tellers on January 27th at the Vashon High School Theater for this free, family-friendly event. Featured are Paul Che oke' ten Wagner, Coast Salish Storyteller & Native American Flutist, and Allison Cox, internationally known storyteller and founder of the Healing Story Alliance. This is Vashon Wilderness Program’s biggest community celebration of the year, drawing hundreds of people from Vashon and beyond to share in the ancient and powerful practice of oral storytelling. You can expect moving and magical tales, and audience participation including a 1-minute Story-thon and group story improv games. Doors open at 2pm for concessions and sign-ups; the Festival begins at 2:30pm. For more information, visit vashonwildernessprogram.org
