By A Lady: A Look at Jane Austen's World
Tames Alan of Living History Lectures will appear dressed for a day during the Regency period. She will give an engaging description of what it was like to be alive during the time Jane Austin wrote her books, including such topics as food, entailment of estates, and how a girl was ranked based on her fortune. She will then change into an evening dress and talk about how the assemblies and balls were more about husband hunting than dancing. For all ages.
