First Friday Gallery Cruise

Vashon is home to many artists and people who love art, we celebrate this with a Gallery Cruise/Art Walk on the First Friday of every month. Each month new works of art and new shows are hung in the galleries and art centers on the Island. However there is so much art that our restaurants, bike shops, hallways, doctor's offices, cafe's, bakeries, stores and offices also have showcase local art and change their shows monthly as well.

During First Friday Gallery Cruise galleries and businesses open their doors for the festive opening of a new show. Main Street (officially mapped as Vashon Highway SW) is alive with adults and kids strolling from opening to opening. Wine and cheese are almost as abundant as the wonderful creative works that grace walls and floor spaces at every turn, mostly the work of local artists.
