Friends of Mukai Open House
Come for a visit to learn the story of the Mukai family, Japanese immigrants who were part of the fabric of the Vashon community from the early 1900's. Walk through this important historic home and stroll the grounds of a former working strawberry farm and garden. Friends of Mukai welcomes your visit as we honor the Mukai family spirit and remember the history of the forced evacuation and imprisonment of over 110,000 people of Japanese ancestry, 62% who were American citizens. www.friendsofmukai.org
