The Air We Share - Breathing Educator for Climate Chaos - FREE LECTURE – SKILLS AND DISCUSSION – VASHON PUBLIC LIBRARY
FREE LECTURE – SKILLS AND DISCUSSION – VASHON PUBLIC LIBRARY
In discussing global climate chaos, we focus on the impending effects of increased carbon in the atmosphere. We rarely focus on how the changing atmosphere effects breathing, respiratory and heart health. 91% of the world’s population live in places where air pollution exceeds safe limits. Air pollution is already the fifth leading cause of premature death. 72% of these deaths are from stroke and heart attack. 28% from respiratory disease.
During this hour and a half I will discuss how our atmosphere is changing due fossil fuels, microplastics, air pollution and forest fires. I will teach and you will learn breathing skills and tools that will support your health in the face of atmospheric change.
