Mukai Haiku Festival Finale

Mukai’s 5th Annual Haiku Festival competition winners will be announced by poet, previous winner, and contest judge Ann Spiers at the Festival Finale. The Finale will feature readings by famed poets Shin Yu Pai and Thomas Hitoshi Pruiksma. Shin Yu Pai is best known for her award-winning NPR podcast Ten Thousand Things, and has also recently published a haiku comic book, Less Desolate. Thomas Pruiksma, a Vashon Island resident, is a teacher, poet and author who recently published a translation of a classical Tamil masterpiece on ethics, power and love.
