Name: What To Do When The Smoke Comes
Date: June 11, 2019
Time: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM PDT
Event Description:
The Breathable Body and Vashon Fire & Rescue Department (VIFR)  invite the community to an evening of information about what you can do when the fires surrounding Vashon pollute our air. Robert Litman of The Breathable Body, aka Vashon Breathing Center, has been teaching clients breathing care for over 30 years. He will provide techniques for safer breathing when the air is almost unbreathable, and for when it’s difficult and frightening to take a breath. There will be suggestions for effective masks and air filters. VIFR representatives will report on forest fire trends for the upcoming season, as well as what you can do around your home to mitigate the potential for Island fires.
