Catherine is an actor with many stage, television and film credits, In addition to growing lavender, she manages the farm rentals and is mom/stepmom to four children. Raised in New York City and Wayne, Pennsylvania, she lives on Vashon and is heading into lavender season 17.

I help couples create unique, personalized wedding ceremonies and officiate at their wedding. As a Certified Life-Cycle Wedding Celebrant, I honor all philosophies, beliefs and traditions. I listen to you, make suggestioins, and help you create a memorable, meaningful ceremony that is perfect for you.

Currently closed because of covid-19, we are planning and gearing up to feed Vashon as soon as it's safe to do so. Orca Eats is a food truck based only on Vashon Maury Islands. We pop up on the curb in Vashon town, at the beach at Tramp Harbor, Dockton, and wherever hungry folks gather. We look forward to serving you at your home, business, nonprofit or community event.

Emily Wigley is owner/operator of Orca Eats. Island resident since 1992, and now 5 years of food trucking exclusively on Vashon Island, my food is flavor forward, local as possible, and fun. Our menu changes every week that we're out vending, which keeps things fresh and interesting! 

I have been serving buyers and borrowers on Vashon Island since 1991 and have offices in Renton, Tacoma and Gig Harbor. I'm the Fundrasing and Public Image Chairman of the Rotary Club of Vashon Island and focus on creating fun events that raise money to make a difference on Vashon Island and the World.

Union Vashon is the joining of two services: yoga teaching at a magical artist studio in the woods on Vashon - and wedding officiating at small, personalized weddings all over Vashon Island.

I offer small-group Restore & Renew yoga sessions at the studio on Sundays from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Whether you've done yoga for years or never tried it, we all crave what this class offers: time to focus on ourselves, move the energy in our bodies in a way that helps us to feel more alive, and allow rest and restoration. The hectic pace of our lives makes this kind of self-care more vital than ever. 

As a certified wedding celebrant I'll create a personalized and unique ceremony that expresses your values.

We welcome all members for group training, personal training, nutrition coaching, drop-ins, and anyone who is ready to work hard and sweat.

Always drawn to understanding what supports health and wellbeing, I have studied many integrative approaches and perspectives to support myself and my clients. 

While I am trained and competent in Injury Treatment, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial and Trigger Point therapies, I also received additional training and have been certified for several modalities including: CranialSacral, Massage Cupping, Thai Massage, Acupressure, Jin Shin Tara, Reiki, and CBD Oil Massage.

In any session, I listen to not only what people say, but to what their bodies seem to need in that moment--every session is as different as each person themselves. Thus, a session could involve some injury treatment or rehab work, relaxation techniques, energy work, bio-rhythm balancing or essential oil therapy, or CBD oil for inflammation and stress reduction. 

For more than 30 years, Deborah D'Artel has passionately colored, cut, and cared for her client's hair with cutting-edge products and devotion to her craft as a stylist. She began her career at UMBERTO Salon in Beverly Hills, working her way up from assistant to mentor. She is known for her expertise and innovations in color and has had her hands on the heads of many celebrities looking for that perfect color for their next role. Deborah has been on Vashon for almost 20 years, has two incredible children, and has a never-ending passion for bringing beauty into the world. When she is not doing hair, she spends time writing poetry and music, having adventures with her family, and seeking new ways of expressing herself. 

  My name is Joleen Black and I am thrilled to be starting my new practice here on Vashon Island!  With a combined 30 years of experience in the Massage Therapy and Acupuncture fields, I bring a wealth of knowledge to address a wide variety of health concerns. Beyond my extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions such as back pain, tendonitis, postural dysfunctions, sports injuries and chronic headaches, I have also achieved significant success in helping individuals manage anxiety, PTSD, insomnia and chronic fatigue. In my treatments, I utilize a combination of Acupuncture and Massage techniques including cupping and moxibustion to get people feeling better as fast as possible.  I often refer people to other practitioners and modalities when it is needed. I pride myself on being 100% committed to each patients recovery and if I'm not the best person for the job, I will let you know. It is an honor to be a part of your healing journey!
