Outreach Coordinator

The Outreach Coordinator for the Vashon-Maury Island Land Trust (VMILT) is a vital link between the organization and our Island community. This position is responsible for planning and executing events in support of the Land Trust’s programs. They will assist the development team in donor stewardship. This position requires frequent and upbeat communication with donors, volunteers, and the general public. A successful Outreach Coordinator is efficient, organized, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Outreach Coordinator reports to the Operations Manager and is executed from VMILT’s main office on Vashon Island.
 

Responsibilities of the Outreach Coordinator include:

  • Event coordination of Big Sky and other public-facing events, including open houses, donor gatherings, property tours, and landowner outreach events.
  • Assisting the Development Team with donor stewardship.
  • Relationship building with donors and partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Sensitivity to working with diverse audiences
  • Ability to work nights and weekends when needed
 

Desirable but not Required:

  • Non-profit experience, including volunteer management and development
 

Compensation and Schedule


This position is paid an hourly wage of $25.00 - 28.00 per hour, depending on experience. It is part-time non-exempt, 20 hours/week. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, holidays, and retirement.
Upon a contingent job offer, candidates must complete a background check.
