Building Materials Inside Sales Representative

We are seeking a Building Materials Inside Sales Representative to join our team at Island Lumber! You will coordinate in-store orders for various customer types, from homeowner to expert contractor. You will also provide assistance and advice throughout the purchasing process. This job is full-time on Vashon Island, a beautiful place to live, and a short ferry ride from West Seattle, the Kitsap Peninsula, or Tacoma. Responsibilities: • Quote and fulfill building materials and services to in-store customers. • Provide knowledge and advice to all customers. • Communicate clearly with customers and associates throughout the store to ensure customer satisfaction. • Purchase and coordinate incoming orders from vendors. • Be a reliable and punctual team player. • Be an inside resource for the Outside Sales representative. • The primary job function is to provide great customer service. Qualifications: • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields preferred. • Familiarity with lumber and building materials. • Ability to build rapport with clients. • Strong people skills. • Attention to detail. Job Type: Full-time 40 hours a week, morning shift 7 to 4 or 8 to 5. Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday. Times and days could vary depending upon store needs. Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour commensurate upon experience. If the candidate has extensive experience in sales and purchasing of Lumber and Building Materials, pay can range between $60-$70k/year.
