Program Manager Voice of Vashon
Voice of Vashon is seeking a dynamic community member for the volunteer, part-time role of Program Manager. This is your opportunity to help shape the future of the Voice at the Voice of Vashon. This role reports and works closely with the executive director.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to -
New Show Development
When a new producer or potential DJ comes to us with an idea, we have an entire team of “Angels” who have agreed to brainstorm with them and help bring their show concept to fruition with training and mentorship. Your job will be to arrange that meeting between Producer and Angel and check in along the way.
Program Scheduling
From the comfort of your desktop, you can see the layout of our program schedule in Google and assign spots for new shows that are ready for air, special one-off interviews, community town halls and upcoming sporting events that will supersede regular programming.
Day-to-Day
Someone’s show gets cut off by our automation system. A producer shows up to produce their show only to find another producer working in the studio. An upcoming show fails to appear in our weekly Show Notes email. These are rarities but they do happen. Your job will include resolving these minor glitches in our day-to-day operation. If you can’t solve it on your own, you can at least point our volunteers toward the person who can.
