About Us
The Vashon Care Network (VCN) supports the health of Vashon-Maury Island residents, especially the needs of low-income, isolated individuals and families, by providing free use of durable equipment (like wheelchairs, walkers, toilet risers, etc.) and soft goods (like incontinent supplies, PPE, etc.) through the Care Closet. VCN also works to support a network of over 50 private caregivers on Vashon and informs community members on how to hire caregivers. VCN has no paid staff although we contract with a local bookkeeper. We are predominately a group of resolute volunteers.
